With the Alexander Technique, everyday movement becomes freer, lighter and more enjoyable; it enables us to let go of unnecessary tensions, particularly in the neck, shoulders, back and hips. A fully qualified teacher will teach you how to move more easily, sit without slumping, and walk without bearing down on the joints in the hips, knees and ankles.
As the Technique is not a “quick fix” be prepared to allow yourself time for a series of 45 minute weekly lessons - ideally between 10 and 20. Contact the studio either by phone of email to discuss booking for an introductory lesson. No special clothing is required but trousers for ladies are helpful. Lessons are informal relaxed and should be thoroughly enjoyable.
